Pics Weeks 1-2

Here are some of the latest and greatest pics. We were back in the hospital for 4 days (3/4 - 3/7) due to Madeline getting a respiratory infection. It wasn't too serious, but because of her age they wanted to have her there under observation. I was a nervous wreck, but we are now home and back into our routine and doing great.

Baby Madeline At The Hospital

Here are the pics right after the birth with Jef cutting the umbilical cord. Will try to load more pics later but had a few minutes and wanted to get these out there for the family. Jef and I are so in love with this baby girl. I know everyone thinks their kid is the cutest, but we can't get over how adorable our little Madeline is. Love all of you.

Here is a little video of our wonderful baby Madeline. She is so cute and alert. She already follows you with her eyes and smiles which is very rare for newborns (obviously, she is going to be a genius!).

36 Weeks

My good friend Bridget threw me a baby shower at Faz Restaurant on 2/1/11 and I received many great baby presents (only a few of the presents are in the pics - should have gotten a picture of all the presents together, but I had forgotten my camera and was at the mercy of a coworker who came to the rescue with a camera). I received a lot of cute clothes, a highchair and miscellaneous baby items (pacifiers, toys, etc.). The baby shower was great and then my boss took our team and Jef out to lunch on Friday and he gave us a Target gift card as a baby present. Jef is also super stoked for the jogging stroller his parents Jim and Janet sent us. He put it all together and can't wait to go running with baby.

35 Weeks!

Jef and I finally got around to doing pictures. We went out this weekend and went on the walking trail behind our townhouse and found a nice spot for taking pictures. We went online and looked at maternity photos to get some ideas for poses beforehand (some are a little cheesy, but we figured might as well try it). While Jef was setting up the tri-pod, a biker went past on the trail and yelled "take it off" at me! I'm not sure if he realized how inappropriate his comment was or if he was just being funny - I like to think that he was so taken by my beauty that he didn't care I was prego :-), but Jef and I were cracking up the rest of the afternoon over it.

33 Weeks!

33 weeks down - only 4 more to full term! I feel enormous and it is getting harder and harder to get off the couch. I feel like I have an alien in my stomach - Madeline moves around and it looks so crazy! Right now her butt is up in the left corner of my belly and it makes me lopsided. We took this picture a couple weeks ago when we were out for a walk.

Jef and I have been busy getting everything ready for the baby. The nursery is pretty much ready to go and we have a bassinet and glider in our room for the first few months. We have been really lucky at finding steals on Craigslist and having good friends with baby girls. One of my coworkers gave me her daughters Pottery Barn nursery bedding and our good friends Kate and David have given us an entire year's worth of baby clothes! We've also gotten a lot of great gifts from friends and family, and have very little left to get.
